To aid in client care, management and programming for people with back pain, our qualified instructors have all undergone comprehensive training in back injuries.

It is not within the scope of our practise to diagnose any conditions, rather we are trained to create tailored programs for our clients based on their personal needs or on the recommendations of their health professional.

Pilates can help with all kinds of back pain, including but not limited to:

  • Chronic / Acute Pain

  • Muscular Pain

  • Disc Injuries

    • Disc Bulge

    • Ruptured Disc

    • Degenterative Disc

  • Sciatica

  • Spinal Fusion

  • Sacro Iliac Joint (SIJ) Problems

  • Osteoarthritis

During your pilates class, you will be strengthening the deep postural muscles that support the neutral alignment of your spine. Learning awareness of your spine alignment, while strengthening the muscles to support your spine is an important skill for people wanting to manage and reduce their back pain.

As a low impact form of exercise Pilates is very safe to participate in, even with back problems. Most exercises, when executed correctly, will train your body to support your spine and promote overall back health.

Know that you'll be in safe hands.... we've got your back.
