Mat Classes teach you the fundamental movement principles of Pilates. As with anything, the more you do the better you will get and the more confident you will feel during your classes to try the advanced moves to progress your workouts.
Pilates is a "functional fitness" method. That means that these principles translate directly into better posture and graceful, efficient movement in everyday life.
Use our Matwork Pilates Classes as the building blocks in your Pilates training or simply for moves to open and enhance any workout routine.
These classes will help you establish torso stability, pelvic stability, abdominal engagement, good alignment, and greater range of motion for the limbs.
Although it is a great way to start Pilates, you do NOT have to do Matwork before you start Equipment training. For more information on this, head here.
